Building OpenSSH 3.6.1 on OpenBSD 3.1

Hi all,

I've been trying to upgrade OpenSSH on my 3.1 systems since 3.5 went out,
but 'make' always fails with:

ssh.o: Undefined symbol `_OPENSSL_add_all_algorithms_noconf' referenced from
text segment
cipher.o: Undefined symbol `_EVP_aes_128_cbc' referenced from data segment
cipher.o: Undefined symbol `_EVP_aes_192_cbc' referenced from data segment
cipher.o: Undefined symbol `_EVP_aes_256_cbc' referenced from data segment
cipher.o: Undefined symbol `_EVP_aes_256_cbc' referenced from data segment
mac.o: Undefined symbol `_HMAC_CTX_cleanup' referenced from text segment

The only clue searching the list was "Just follow the instructions on
http://www.openbsd.org/stable.html and everything will just work."
Is there any other way to fix it?
