I just sent my congressman, Senator John Warner -- the head of the Senate 
Armed Services Committee -- a request for information on this. I think 
everyone who's an American citizen and is concerned about this should do the 
same -- feel free to use my text if you wish. 

I cc:'d the list for a few reasons: 

1. I figured it would be a good heads-up/motivator. 

2. If the good Senator sees that many people are aware of my (very 
legitimate) request, perhaps he'll be more likely to act on it. 

3. If nothing else, maybe his staff's reply will come to the list too -- out 
of intent or sheer stupidity (I can already see them using "Reply to All 
With History" on Lotus Notes out of sheer habit). 

Hopefully something good will come of this.
