Do you care about what is on the current server. I read kill but is there
any need for preservation?
If you don't care about the current server. There are several imaging
packages would allow you to boot and image the system, A basic OpenBSD
install with no packages isn't huge so to copy image across 640kb/s DSL / or
a cable modem wouldn't take long.
Then you can just provide a scripted boot disk on the other end to image via
network share and be done with it.
If you have a wake on LAN card in this server you could have it download
this disk on startup via BOOTP/PXE, provided it is configured to boot from
the network first on receipt of a WOL startup.
There are several ways to image this disk including PAY software like
GHOST/Drive Image or try http://etherboot.sourceforge.net/distribution.html
for an open source alternative.
Configuring any of these options requires time and may ultimately still
require physical access (albeit low-tech)
Let me know if you find this info at all helpful.

ok, but then it wouldn't be a learning experience... ; )
Is this kind of thing a real nightmare to pull off? (not being a hoary Unix
wizard)
