I wanted to update you on the situation with the Univ of Penn. project. As a result of the DARPA review of the project, and due to world events and the evolving threat posed by increasingly capable nation-states, the Government on April 21 advised the University to suspend work on the "security fest" portion of the project.

So let me get this straight... in order to increase national security, they're suspending research into security? Unbelievable is indeed the right word.

On the other hand, it makes about as much sense as "increasing national security" by starting a war with a non-aggressing nation, a war which is being used widely as a terrorist recruitment tool.

I'd apologize for my government, but I'm getting tired of doing so... one of these days, this broke college student will eventually make a hefty donation to the project.
