Alternative Linux driver for Broadcom NIC on A7V8X

as a "happy" user of the A7V8X with at least 2 chips
unrecognized by -current (complete dmesg attached below):

Looks like there exists an alternative driver for the Broadcom 
on-board NIC, maybe it could be adapted for OpenBSD?
