Re: Antivirus Programs for Openbsd

I've used ClamAV for a year or so on a OpenBSD gateway protecting Win PC's with good results.

But it's a pure home setup (me and the kids) so I can't say how it scales.

Check www.centralcommand.com (the vexira antivirus)

I use their product for a couple Milter and Sendmail setups. I know they have filescanning for OpenBSD as well. The www.antivir.de have products as well (same as centralcommand as Centralcommand obviously own them).

The product is probably ment to scan files if you use OpenBSD as a fileserver with samba or nfs. I do not think you will find viruses that can affect OpenBSD itself.

I've seen recent postings on this list about antivirus programs for
Openbsd. Do these programs detect viruses that can actually infect Openbsd
or just viruses that won't affect Openbsd but can be passed on to infect
other (windows) operating systems?
