I encountered the same problem on another port (libid3tag) requiering
libz.so.3.0 and having libz.so.4.0 present on the system.  A simple
recompile fixes the problem but the package availible(can't spell that
right) for download is borked.

Try to look for library dependancies of this port and for the
libraries they require.
