Re: PAM Authentication on OBSD?

Not really, no. The OpenBSD developers (and others, such as Slackware)
allegedly do not include PAM, due to major security concerns.

It sucks, because it prevents me from using OpenBSD for a lot of things,
but at the same time, that's why we use OpenBSD, it's no-compromise
approach to security and correctness.

I remember some people have tried to get PAM working with OpenBSD, but
with mixed success and a lot of pain and suffering. You can do Google or
list searches to find their tear-filled posts.

In short, forget about it.

I can't really give you a good answer here, because it depends on *WHY*
you think you need PAM.

Are you trying to hookup courier imapd to an external authentication?
Samba? Sendmail? Netatalk? Are you trying to interface with LDAP? NDS? AD?
NT? You get the picture.
