GigE recommendations

Given all the talk about NICs lately, could anyone out there recommend some solid GigE cards for i386 or amd64. I've been looking at the Intel PRO/1000MT Desktop Adapter (PWLA8390MT) for a new network of desktops and the Intel PRO/1000MT Dual Port Server Adapter (PWLA8492MT) to be used in an upgraded firewall (I plan to put two of the dual port cards in the firewall). Does anybody out there have direct good/bad experience with these particular NICs?
