Repeatable hard hang on OpenBSD3.6 MP?

Hi

It seems I can hang my 3.6-stable MP box at will just by backgrounding an
ssh command using shell job control.

The command is just : ssh foo 'tar czf - /' > bar.tgz

If I stop the job (^Z) and bg it, press <CR> a few times, the machine
hangs hard and needs a forced reset.

I have managed to repeat this behaviour several times with the MP kernel
(original and with Markus Friedl's patch from thread below) but not the SP
kernel. Anyone else with an MP box else get the same behaviour?

See http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=openbsd-tech&m=110080110616826&w=2 for
my dmesg (it's a dual proc i386).

Here's the output in putty the last time it hung:

smarley_(_at_)_catwoman ~ % ssh root_(_at_)_proxy1 'tar czf - /' > bar.tgz
tar: Removing leading `/' from member names
^Zzsh: 10882 suspended ssh root_(_at_)_proxy1 'tar czf - /' > bar.tgz
smarley_(_at_)_catwoman ~ % bg
[1] + continued ssh root_(_at_)_proxy1 'tar czf - /' > bar.tgz
smarley_(_at_)_catwoman ~ %
smarley_(_at_)_catwoman ~ %
smarley_(_at_)_catwoman ~ %
smarley_(_at_)_catwoman ~ %
[dead]

Kind Regards,
Stephen Marley
