You also didn't mention the version of symon you are using.
Further to this, I do also get some state data logged, as I can pull up
the state information as a graph in rrdtool, and it looks like data has
been going through.
This probably means that either my firewall isn't logging enough
information, or symon isn't getting all the information from the firewall...
