Apache, chroot, Perl

Sitting in front of this the 2nd night ...

When I disable chroot (httpd -u) my tired eyes clearly
see that "Hello world" perl test script output.

With chrooting enabled it could not be further away
(500 Internal Server Error and that infamous "Premature
end of script headers" in /var/www/logs/error_log).

Apache seems to be OK because having a shell
in /var/www/usr/bin the greetings _can_ be seen
using a shell script when _chrooted_.

So I think Perl does not work as expected due to
that chroot thing.

I did copy those 5 files (perl*) in /usr/bin into
/var/www/usr/bin and I did copy the whole
perl5 from /usr/libdata into /var/www/usr/libdata.

During last 2 days I surely have seen enough Apache
pages, OpenBSD pages, Perl pages, non-matching
pages, whatever-pages-including-some-keywords to
dream of at least the next year so it is absolutely clear
that I miss(ed) something.

Could someone kindly show me the way to a little
more sleep for tomorrow, please?

Thanks in advance

Klaus
