Yes, I was aware of this issue and I know it comes up a lot. But I thought that only applied to the 1000 series cards ?

As far as I know (and I can find nothing to contradict this), The 2010 is a real hardware SCSI card, and not a HostRaid one. I'm prepared to be corrected though; I wouldn't have bought it if I'd thought it was host raid.
