Are you kidding? I've been expecting this. Theo has been adamant with
OpenBSD to promote free software without compromise. Who else has taken
the stand against allowing 'free' interfaces intended solely to let
proprietary software make inroads into the OS? Who else has stood firm
that just because the OSI certifies it, doesn't mean it's free? Who else
has refused to follow other projects when they tighten up their licenses,
instead forking and moving on?


Maybe it's only surprising if you assume the FSF requires recipients to
say nice things about the GPL :-)
