Hi all

Just an update on my prior posting, with thanks to both Ken and Ron who responded to my request for help, regarding not being able to get my floppy drive up and running:

It turns out that it was the physical drive itself which I only discovered after exhaustively running through the options suggested. Once I replaced the drive itself it just took a quick disklabel /dev/rfd0c to set it up and then I could mount floppies as required.
