There appear to be two days when scary information became known:
Fri, Jan 21 and Thu, Mar 24.  Both of these days have prices
jumping downwards and an exceptionally high trading volume.

Theo's ultimatum expired on Mon, Mar 21.
Of course, this may be mere coincidence.

In case this is not felt too far off-topic, perhaps somebody should
comment who actually knows what happened to Adaptec on those two days
instead of having us ignorant guys utter shrewd guesses.
