again: mac mini

hi!

i'm planning to use a mac mini as my new openbsd workstation - one 
simple question: is the sound working on it?
or
are there other recommendations for non-i386 hardware as desktop?
of course in the price-segment of the mini.
i don't want to start a hardware-flame - just need some hints.
a sun blade 150 is nice but too expensive for me.
i just want to use it as desktop (xfce4) with sound (xmms) and graphic 
tools (gimp, sodipodi) ...
maybe an alpha?
