SMP not working Compaq 1600, 5000, 1850R

Hi,

I've been having difficulty getting dual proc to work on my Compaq Servers with OpenBSD. I can't get BSD.mp 3.7 or other to work on Compaq 1600, 5000, or 1850R. I bet the problem is the same for all of them so I will focus and ask about the Compaq Proliant 1600.

At bios startup the 1600 shows two 400 mhz PII processors. When it gets to boot, I type in BSD.mp and it boots the MP kernel but the second processor does not come up on OpenBSD. Am I doing something wrong? Is the hardware set up improperly? Or does OpenBSD not support these old servers in SMP?
