htdocs permissions ?

Hi,

I've been playing with djb's publicfile and I noticed that it uses very 
strange permissions for directories that include web files.


This is OpenBSD's Apache:

/var/www
drwxr-xr-x  11 root    daemon     512 Sep  3  2004 www

/var/www/htdocs
drwxr-xr-x  14 root  daemon   512 Sep  7  2004 htdocs


This is djb's publicfile:

/var/pubtest
drwxr-sr-x  4 root  wheel  512 Apr 25 00:26 pubtest

/var/pubtest/file
drwxr-sr-x  3 root  wheel  512 Apr 25 00:29 file

/var/pubtest/file/0
drwxr-sr-x  2 root  wheel  512 Apr 25 00:25 0



What is better ?
