Hi ,all . My name is tuyoshi , a japanese .
I can start in-kernel pppoe with the follwowing steps.
-----------------------------------
ifconfig pppoe0 create
ifconfig pppoe0 pppoedev fxp0
ifconfig fxp0 up
spppcontrol pppoe0 myauthproto=pap myauthname=ID myauthkey=PASSWD
ifconfig pppoe0 inet 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.1 netmask 0xffffffff
route add default 0.0.0.1
ifconfig pppoe0 up
----------------------------------
But the connecion is cut , "in-kenel pppoe" connection is down , too .
The "in-kenel pppoe" connection is never recovered automatically .
A man in Japan says that he is monitoring "in-kenel pppoe" with a cron shell script
and when "in-kenel pppoe" connection is down , he starts agein "in-kenel pppoe" with the same cron shell script .
( I myself do not know the method .)
Are there more sophistcated way ?
I am sorry for my poor english .
