As a side question, is there any way to force a one time sync to
update du statistics on softdep mounted file systems? I have a
script that I use where I'd like to force a sync immediately rather
than imposing a artificial deplay while waiting for the disk stats to
update.
I don't want to mount the partition async for something little like
this, but it would be nice if I could speed it up somehow. I have to
wait more than 60 seconds for the stats to update when I delete a 90
MB file. Doesn't anyone else think that seems excessively long?
Matt
