After the release, the ports tree will be unlocking 2 weeks later than
expected due to this.
I am sick and tired of ports people who slave for an entire cycle on
building complicated framework for packages, and then when it comes
time to put them on the CD they entirely ignore the problem of checking
the dependency list for what goes on the CD.
This problem arises every single release.
Every single release, the ports people depend on 1 person to do all
the work. And since I have no other control over this situation, I
will instead just hand out a punishment to the entire ports tree
group.
If you don't like it, tough -- hopefully you will remember why it came
to this.

I've been telling this for some time and since nobody has reported a
single success/failure I am going to try this hackers mailing list that
some people sometimes read.
Look at the stuff in ~pvalchev/3.4/ on cvs. These are the lists of
packages that will go onto the CD. I need people to check if
dependencies, etc. are correct, and there are no conflicts (this is the
rule for the CD), by adding these packages to a fresh machine. All you
need to do is make an empty directory somewhere and copy the packages
from the list ONLY in it, and then go to it and pkg_add from there. A
full output of a pkg_add * would be good.
Please email me this info asap, as things are close to finalized and I
don't want us to ship busted stuff, as I can't check everything
myself...
