Issue: Gimp-1.2.3 crashes with the following error when editting jpeg files:
----------------------------------------------
GLib-ERROR **: could not allocate 16384 bytes
aborting...
gimp terminated: Abort trap
LibGimp-WARNING **: script-fu: wire_read: unexpected EOF
----------------------------------------------
How to replicate:
start gimp
open jpeg file
fill regions with fill tool
It doesn't happen every time and not with smaller pictures (it seems). It also occurs when importing EPS files at high resolution (I can import my eps figures at a resolution of 300 but gimp crashes if I try 600). The error for eps import is:
----------------------------------------------
GLib-ERROR **: could not allocate 12288 bytes
aborting...
gimp terminated: Abort trap
$ LibGimp-WARNING **: ps: wire_read: unexpected EOF
GNU Ghostscript 7.05: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1
LibGimp-WARNING **: script-fu: wire_read: unexpected EOF
----------------------------------------------
