"D-BUS is a simple IPC library based on messages."
Seems a lot of new programs are using DBUS for
various purposes. I needed it primarily for ROX-Session.
It creates 3 packages, dbus, dbus-glib and py-dbus.
dbus is the main daemon itself, dbus-glib are the glib
bindings and py-dbus the python bindings.
As far as I can tell the only problem is a small one in
the python bindings; the dbus daemon will coredump
if you attempt to return a python list in a method call.
If anyone has an idea why this happens feel free to fix it,
I'm not nearly good enough at C to figure it out,
The detection for getpeereid is not very nice, it should
definitely be a configure test thing but I have no idea
how to make new autotconf tests. I'll try to get the
getpeereid stuff included upstream for the next
Needs the Pyrex port to build.
