i got some mvme177 boards and try to install obsd.
i can successfully load netboot via tftp,
netboot also gets its ip via rarp from the linux host,
then however, netboot claims bootp whoami request failed.
the bootp server ist verifyed working and started with -d 9,
there is no request from the mvme machine.
could it be, that stock netboot was compiled wit sun3 stuff instead of
bootp? the error message iam getting is within some sun3 #defines?
any other instructions on netbooting openbsd?
i tried to boot from tape also.
i dd`ed bootst stboot and bsd.rd on the tape.
same thing here, the tapeboot program appears and exits with some
`unknown error` (tape offline no, forgot erro msg)
thanks for help,
