Re: OpenBSD 2.8 Box Losing 5-15 seconds per day

I don't know why you couldn't find this in the mailing list archive, it's
been discussed before. I know of two devices that will make the clock skew
at a large rate when you use them, wi and flp. There may be others.

I spent some time trying to figure out what was wrong with wi, and
corresponded with the driver's author. I couldn't find anything, and the
same (or very similar) driver does not exhibit this behavior on FreeBSD.
This and the fact that flp does the same thing makes me suspect something in
OpenBSD's interrupt handlers, but that's as far as I got.

I would very much like to find a fix for this. The skew causes xmh to
re-scan my inbox more often than it should. My inbox is on a file server
and if I'm at the other end of a slow link that can be painful.
