Re[1]: Kernel Panic on ppc install

"Silence is getting used to hearing crickets."

Gentlemen.

If this email is being sent to an inappropriate list on OPENBSD.ORG,
Please let me know.

However, I am least impressed with the fact I cannot begin debugging the following issue without knowing here to go next.

I have examined all pertinent documentation on OpenBSD.org, and I am unable to proceed.

So now I have 1 ~$32.00 CAD teacup coaster and lid.

For all it is worth to me, the 2.9 distrib currently can only collect dust, because the OFWBOOT documentation and Kernel booting information is lacking, as far as I can find info. (Kernel Switches are what I am wondering about, Not Forth.)

If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know.

Thank you.

Subject: Kernel Panic on ppc install

Hello.

I am moving from LinuxPPC, to OpenBSD as a change in pace.
I am pretty familiar with unic'es and wish to look at oBSD.

Here is my Problem: Alas, no Trace, no DDB, just a "By Hand"
Snapshot of what happened.

Hardware:
PowerMac B&W G3/400 6Gb, 192Mb, All USB.
No ADB kb/mouse attached. No Firewire Drives.
Hardware DVD-Rom to ATI Rage128. No Zip, Just USB Handspring cradle
(Not Active), and STmicroelectronics Cool-iCam (STV0680, disconnected)

Entered into OpenFirmWare (Forth)

Alas, because it panics so soon in boot, I have no console.

TI device is the Firewire bus.
The CMD PCI0646 is the EIDE bus controller.

My Booting occurs from CD-ROM distrib and I DO NOT HAVE a tftp way of
booting the kernel (READ: My Network at work is Crap!)
So dealing with loading a Different Kernel is going to be difficult.

Since I run LinuxPPC, I may have some options, but lets leave
that for later.

In the Hardware side:
I cannot patch the OpenFirmWare. OFW 1.1 is where apple left it, and The Firewire and EIDE are
up to spec firmware wise. Any Ideas? Any boot switches?

If someone can point me in the right direction, I would gladly entertain all ideas.
