a) While I was reading rc, I found some inconsistencies in the
criteria about when to probe for an existing executable file.
b) I found a reference to a /usr/local/bin/gated daemon in /usr/local/bin/
that, of course, doesn't exist. I think it shouldn't be in rc.
Where am I wrong, if so.
