panic on a L440GX+ motherboard with a gig of ram

I am having a problem using a gig or more of ram with OpenBSD 2.9 on an 
Intel L440GX+ motherboard.  It seems to work fine with 512 megs of ram, 
but it panics with a gig.  Below is the output of ddb using a gig of ram 
and below that is a dmesg using 512 megs of ram.

OpenBSD 2.7 and 2.8 seem to work fine though.  I recompiled a 2.9 kernel 
from the stable tree that I updated today, and that also panics.  I did 
not try a kernel from the 2.8 stable branch or from the current branch 
though.

any suggestions are greatly appreciated...
