developers are busy.
developers are scrupulous about "implementing cost".
developers love small-n-cool patches.
in this case, feature is already here, but is not enabled
yet. i don't see any objective reason to refuse a feature
what is ALREADY in the tree:
- developers are not disturbed,
- "implementing cost" is climbing to null,
- patch is HERE and it is relatively small.
