Hi all,
I was poking around and looking at doing asynchronous I/O with SIGIO
and SA_SIGINFO set. I noticed that in /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h, the
_file struct in the union was #if 0'ed out by Theo back in 1997. I
assume that the code to fill this out was never stuck into the kernel.
(or this is a tremendous oversight) (or I'm on crack).
Is there any technical or design reason why I shouldn't try to add
_file fillout code to the kernel and submit a patches?
Cheers,
