Here we go: >>>CHUNK ON TOUR Superchunk will be doing a few tour dates> March 22 - Washington DC - Black Cat April 18 - Harrisonburg, VA - James Madison University (See below) The band is tenatively scheduling a few more dates. >>>More info on the April 18 show from scutarma@jmu.edu: Superchunk has been confirmed to headline the first ever Mid Atlantic College Radio Conference on April 18-19, 1997 on the campus of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. This conference will focus on the issues of college radio, independent labels, and rock. Friday night will feature a show staring among others, Superchunk, Versus, and Tsunami. Saturday will feature panels, label exhibitions, movies, a keynote address from Jenny Toomey and Kristen Thompson of Simple Machines/Tsunami, and at night there will be lots of music (or all genres) at various venues. If I remember correctly, it has the Chunk logo on one side and "hyper" on the other. Although some people remember seeing this during the Strings tour (1995), it was originally only made as a promo item. Order today! >>A footnote from khoskins@zoo.uvm.edu: "Fader rules" was used as background music during that horrible pre-All Star Game show with Ahmad Rashaad and some suckass in a matching leather jacket. They ended the song before the vocals started. - - - - - Continued appologies for Chunk fans outside the US - no non-US shows scheduled, but you will know as soon as I find anything out.
