WHEN THIS WHOLE LIST IS FINAL, I SHALL SEND OUT A LIST OF ALL THOSE WHO HELPED ME WITH IT AS A MEANS OF PUBLIC THANKS. NEW INFO!!! - Whilst i was doing my regular crusing of local record stores, I turned up an import 7" : Superchunk / The John Peel Sessions. It's on a tiny U.K. label called Tiny Meteroids. It's from May 31, 1992 and features live versions of Let It Go, Tie A Rope To The Back Of The Bus, Fishing, and Untied. There's no release date on the 7" itself, so i assume it's also 1992. ADS AND SO FORTH: If you want CHUNK ads, you shall have them: there's a B&W ad near the back of this month's Tower Records PULSE! Mag as well as a color ad on p.54 of this month's SPIN. The SPIN ad features this ad line: "here's where everything comes together (either that or it all falls apart) - here's where the strings come in / SUPERCHUNK" a cool story, courtesy of GinaLiz@aol.com: "my friend works at a pizza place in Harleysville,PA, and who should walk into the store but an older man wearing a Superchunk shirt. Anyway, it turned out to be jon's dad, Mr. Wurster. he's very proud of his son. pretty neat, huh?" + Nov. `95's issue of Sassy mag. reviews Portastatic's "slow note..." - giving it 4 out of 4 (thanks to FreedMan88@aol.com for info in this letter and in many others!) another updated discography on its way once I get a little more time, this one with some info on superchunk-related info as well. ( I PROMISE ) and a tidbit of info for you all: AT LEAST 25% of the people on the mailing list are college students...probably more. If you're a college student, let me know - i'd be interested in getting a more exact figure on this...thanks in advance if you do let me know AND I HOPE YOU DO!
