K-12 in Ann Arbor, Michigan public schools. Graduated from Community High School.
In April 2004, I graduated from the University of Michigan , College of Engineering, with a B.S.E. in Computer Science.
I plan on going to grad school some time… probably.

I work at Arbor Networks, where I develop network security software on the Peakflow-X team.
Through high school and college, I worked at CITI – The Center for Information Technology Integration, the University of Michigan. CITI always has many interesting projects and people.

My main interests are related to Operating Systems, Security, File Systems and Networking.
The BSD License is my software license of choice.
My favorite OS is OpenBSD. I also use OpenDarwin, NetBSD, FreeBSD. Recently I have been running Debian on my primary laptop.

As a rule, I usually don’t have a whole bunch of time to work on side projects. I recently started to make an effort to release all the code I write for myself. Who cares if there’s not enough time to “make it pretty”? Someone else could find it useful.
- I have done some work on calmwm.
- osd_acpi.py – Python script for displaying xosd slidebar of remaining charge percentage. Changes colors: blue when charging, red when discharging. Only works on linux, as it uses /proc fs interface, but should be easy to port to whatever.

I’ve been playing the (electric) bass since 1996. To be honest, I have been so busy with work that I haven’t played in a while. Unitl 2002, i played with several groups, mostly in south east michigan.
