Scorsese really ought to get an Oscar. Not because The Departed was that amazing, but because he got screwed out of Oscars for Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, and Goodfellas.

As Scorsese said about being robbed: "what, did they think Taxi Driver directed itself?"

Anyway, it's looking like this year might be the year.

Come on people, give the man an Oscar, even if it's just a mercy Oscar. He's not getting any younger, or any better. I mean, he's even starting to recycle the same damn Rolling Stones songs that he's used in his earlier movies. Just give it to him.
