I've downloaded some tracks from their site ( http://r4ny.com/music.html ) and I think they'd have been a great Factory band! [history] new order's ninth release, with 'thieves like us' on the a-side.. the full version of this song came out on the first 12" single... however this version appears only on the vinyl release, and not on cd... [review] this is another great 'non-album' track that has interesting vocals and laid-back music... there are times when i'm not in the mood to hear it, but once you get into it, its actually a very peaceful, and sedate song..with very sarcastic lyrics if you listen to them.. i like the way the guitars and keyboards work together, and that lazy intro..followed by the vocals is cool... i wish it had a better title, because i keep thinking of the song by elvis...oh well.. i've also cleaned up some of the pops/clicks, and reduced the noise.. hope you enjoy it.. feel free to post your thoughts on it... (since i'll have most the tracks anyway).... i'll have to come up with some more artwork though... another drawback is with all their singles+b-sides, it will take up about 4 discs (just like retro)... anyways, here's my listing: - ------------------------------------------------ new order box - international 2 (singles+b-sides) - ------------------------------------------------ [ v0.1] by -1 analysis - ------------------------------------------------ disc 01 the early singles - ------------------------------------------------ time (m:s) track(mix) note - ------------------------------------------------------------------- 4:34 1 ceremony (original) from the original 7" 4:27 2 procession from the original 7" 3:13 3 Dreams Never End album version (was released on us 10" promo) 5:33 4 Everything's Gone Green from the original 12" 5:23 5 Temptation from the uk 7" 3:26 6 Rocking Carol from the uk flexi 4:24 7 ecstasy (or only the lonely) album version (was released on us 10" promo) 4:34 8 Blue Monday (video version) from the uk video 4:08 9 Confusion (video version) from the uk video 3:54 10 Thieves Like Us (edit) from the uk 7" promo 3:55 11 Murder from the 12" 4:23 12 The Perfect Kiss (edit) from the 7" 4:57 13 Sub-culture (remix edit) from the 7" 4:19 14 Shellshock (edit) from the 7" 3:25 15 State of the Nation (edit) from the 7" 3:40 16 Bizarre Love Triangle (edit) from the 7" 3:45 17 Way Of Life (edit) from the us 12" promo 3:51 18 weirdo album version (was released on bz 12" promo) 4:10 19 True Faith (album edit) from us promo cd - ----- 81min:07sec disc 02 the latter singles - ------------------------------------------------------------------- 3:40 1 Touched by the Hand of God(edit) from the 7" 4:10 2 Blue Monday 1988 (7" version) from the 7" 3:08 3 Fine Time (7" version) from the 7" 3:31 4 Round & round (7") from the 7" 3:35 5 Run 2 from the uk 7" promo 4:20 6 Mr. Disco album version (was released on bz 12" promo) 4:30 7 World In Motion...
