Quite nice jobs done there, most of you might agree. Final round will end on January 31st, the CD should be released somewhere in spring. Only members of NewOrderOnline.com registered prior to May 1st 2003 can vote (date of the beginning of the contest, this is to avoid fraud), but if you are registered you can listen to each and every song, even vote even if it will not count at the end. / the b-sides? the promo mixes? the flexi tracks? or even some of the soundtrack versions?.....well if you were a collector, yes, maybe you had all of these, and even if you had spent the money, it was still hard trying to listen to the tracks in some kind of cohesive order.. thanks to the discography information at 'the new order' discography, and also from other 'new order' websites.. we've been able to recreate a series of tracks released in the actual chronological order....now some of these may come from other countries outside the us/uk (which had different release dates also)....and some were never actually 'released' in their own country officially....for more information check : http://www.niagara.edu/neworder/ i've also chosen some of my favorite tracks as an extra.. many of them come from laserdiscs of their videos, others are 'cd' re-creations of rare-edits, or instrumentals released only on cassette.... i've tried to remaster tracks whenever possible, or use the highest quality sounding files i had available....although there might be some slight noise, and artifacts in the songs, i don't think they detract from the songs..... it's taken me quite a long time to create this compilation.. but after finally having access to all my archives, and resources, i would to use this as a 'thank you' to new order and fans, and for all the dedication, and hard work they've put into their music through the years.... i hope you will also enjoy this compilation as much as i have in working on it.. later || || | | || ne g ative 1 'is the kiss of death' ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 5 Dec 2003 22:32:54 -0600 From: "-1" Subject: (Fac33) [update] -> _new_order__international_2____051203____ 'i stood there beside myself' hey no'ers, well i'm finished burning the first 4 alpha discs to test out.. i've still got 1 more song left to do ('world in motion[video mix]'), and that should finish it off.. also, i'll be posting some descriptions, previews, and notices about the compilation.... the almost-final listing is up next...as i've made a few changes in tracks, and selected some other mixes for discs 3/4... due to time restrictions and other factors.. - ---------- [boxset] -> _international_2__v0.4d_ [boxset] i've added these tracks: - -------------------------- + 'ruined in a day' (k-klass edit) + 'sunrise' (rough instrumental mix) + 'world in motion '96 (mark bell remix) - - removed 'blue monday 95' (plutome dub) - - took out 'ruined in a day' (single edit)/(single remix) - - 'world in motion' (subutteo dub) i've also moved: 'the perfect pit' to the 4th disc as the 3rd disc was over 80min... here's my updated listing: - ------------------------------------------------ new order box - international 2 (singles+b-sides) - ------------------------------------------------ [v0.4d] by -1 analysis - ------------------------------------------------ disc 01 the early singles - ------------------------------------------------ time (m:s) track(mix) note - ------------------------------------------------------------------- 4:34 1 ceremony (original) from the original 7" 4:27 2 procession from the original 7" 3:13 3 Dreams Never End album version (was released on us 10" promo) 5:33 4 Everything's Gone Green from the original 12" 5:23 5 Temptation (7") from the uk 7" 3:26 6 Rocking Carol from the uk flexi 4:24 7 ecstasy (or only the lonely) album version (was released on us 10" promo) 4:34 8 Blue Monday (video version) from the uk video 3:54 9 Confusion (video version) from the uk video 3:54 10 Thieves Like Us (edit) from the uk 7" promo 3:55 11 Murder from the 12" 4:23 12 The Perfect Kiss (edit) from the 7" 3:29 13 Sub-culture (edit) from the 7" 4:19 14 Shellshock (edit) from the 7" 3:25 15 State of the Nation (edit) from the 7" 3:40 16 Bizarre Love Triangle (edit) from the 7" 4:03 17 Way Of Life from the us 12" promo 3:51 18 weirdo album version (was released on bz 12" promo) 4:10 19 True Faith (album edit) from us promo cd - ----- 79min:53sec act[79min:18sec] disc 02 the latter singles - ------------------------------------------------------------------- 3:40 1 Touched by the Hand of God(edit) from the 7"/japanese 3" cds 4:10 2 Blue Monday 1988 (7" version) from the 7"/cds 3:08 3 Fine Time (7" version) from the 7"/cds 3:31 4 Round & round (7") from the 7"/cds 3:35 5 Run 2 from the uk 7" promo/japanese laserdisc 4:20 6 Mr. Disco album version (was released on bz 12" promo) 3:56 7 World In Motion... (by the way, i am still going to try to put ALL their mixes on the 'recycle' boxset)... thanks for your comments.. later | | | | |||||| ne g at iv e 1 - -----Original Message----- From: GaoBest@aol.com [mailto:GaoBest@aol.com] Sent: Saturday, December 06, 2003 1:37 AM To: rajg@nol.net; ceremony-digest@monkey.org Subject: Re: (Fac33) [update] -> _new_order__international_2____051203____ What about the Paradise remix (Australian 12") - it seems like this would be a bit more rare & interesting than the BM '88 from the UK CDsingle (or the 1963 Art Baker remix from the '95 CDsingle).
