Actually, a lot of the songs have been remastered (listen closely and A/B against the original issues). I have just received word from one of the monkey.org administrators that the avenue through which spammers had been able to get through to the list has been closed. However, the new configuration, while obscuring the problem, still contains the same inherent insecurity. Our thinking is that it will be at least a short while before this protection is again breached. The monkey people have presented another option, instead of waiting for the next breach: switch the software under which the list is running. I am considering it. A switch may mean a disruption in the list service, but since there's only minimal New Order (and, hence, list) activity, this may be a good time to switch. I will keep you all posted. Thanks again for your patience in the matter.
