I realize there is no support listed for this card but I thought I'd try it anyway. A multifuction card is almost mandatory with a Libretto 50. Anyone have any success with this card? If there is a kernel driver person out there I would be happy to donate a card to get support added for this card. diana Diana Eichert IT Manager McKinley Paper Company deeiche@mckinleypaper.com From owner-openbsd-mobile-outgoing Tue Sep 8 11:42:00 1998 Delivered-To: openbsd-mobile-outgoing@monkey.org Received: by naughty.monkey.org (VMailer, from userid 502) id CE74A96E3; Tue, 8 Sep 1998 10:41:59 -0500 (EST) Delivered-To: openbsd-mobile@monkey.org Received: by naughty.monkey.org (VMailer, from userid 1001) id CE73A23B7; Tue, 8 Sep 1998 10:41:57 -0500 (EST) Delivered-To: openbsd-mobile@monkey.org Received: from sundance.stacken.kth.se (sundance.stacken.kth.se 130.237.234.41) by naughty.monkey.org (VMailer) via SMTP id CE73A09BD; Tue, 8 Sep 1998 10:41:36 -0500 (EST) Received: (from art@localhost) by sundance.stacken.kth.se (8.8.8/8.8.8) id RAA15775; Tue, 8 Sep 1998 17:41:30 +0200 (MET DST) To: Wim Vandeputte Cc: openbsd-mobile@monkey.org Subject: Re: OpenBSD-mobile: Suggestions for 10/100 Mbit card? Also, there's a line in /usr/src/sys/srch/i386/conf/GENERIC : #ed* at pcmcia? function ? # PCMCIA based ed cards If I uncomment this config tell ed doesn't suppor pcmcia, and stop. The regular isa ep0 on 0x300 irq 11 doesn't work also. I tried everything I could, but it seems I need a little help. I've given some thought to it, and have committed some minor changes to allow OpenBSD to recognize the cache size of the NEC Vr41xx based machines. I'm getting one with 4M of RAM used here in the next few days (as soon as the check gets there, and the guy sends it to me). I'm also keen on getting a newer wince box with more memory. There are a number of interesting issues to consider with this project. One of the hardest is how do you bootstrap and/or recover from a bad kernel? What kind of FS do you want to put on a flash, since ufs is poorly suited to the write many times (but limited to 100k), etc. Warner From owner-openbsd-mobile-outgoing Mon Sep 14 16:23:31 1998 Delivered-To: openbsd-mobile-outgoing@monkey.org Received: by naughty.monkey.org (VMailer, from userid 502) id CE811779D; Mon, 14 Sep 1998 15:23:31 -0500 (EST) Delivered-To: openbsd-mobile@monkey.org Received: by naughty.monkey.org (VMailer, from userid 1001) id CE5F1903A; Mon, 14 Sep 1998 15:23:29 -0500 (EST) Delivered-To: openbsd-mobile@monkey.org Received: from citi.umich.edu (citi.umich.edu 141.211.92.141) by naughty.monkey.org (VMailer) via SMTP id CE81DB3EE; Mon, 14 Sep 1998 15:17:01 -0500 (EST) Received: from citi.umich.edu [141.211.92.167] by citi.umich.edu for openbsd-mobile@monkey.org with SMTP; Mon, 14 Sep 98 16:16:07 -0400 From: Jim Rees To: openbsd-mobile@monkey.org Date: Mon, 14 Sep 1998 16:16:06 -0400 Subject: Re: OpenBSD-mobile: OpenBSD for wince machines?
